One great way to enjoy the upcoming fall weekend is to dance with us at the
11th annual Phylla Mae Fall Fest.

Performers at this year's weekend include an extraordinary blend of regional
and national talent.

Callers:
- Nils Fredland will be our featured caller
- Pamela Goddard and David Smukler will call English country dance sessions
- Katy Heine will call a contra dance session
- Bob Nicholson, Carmen Giunta and Sarah VanNorstrand will have cameo
appearances

And two great bands...

Firetruck:
- Ethan Hazzard-Watkins, fiddle (Ethan is also the Country Dance and Song
Society's "Wandering Youth Guru"; come ask him what that means)
- Anna Patton, clarinet
- Karen Axelrod, piano

Contranella:
- Megan Beller, fiddle
- Charley Beller, miscellaneous strings and percussion
- John Wobus, piano


The dancing on Friday and Saturday nights is always a blast, but we hope you
will also check out some of the many other wonderful dance opportunities the
weekend offers. These include:

- "Share the Joy" workshop

One late-breaking piece of news is that we've added a couple of
English-friendly ticket prices for devotees of English country dance. The
way the admission prices are structured allow you to pay for sessions from
10:30 ­ 6:00 for $14 at the door, or from 7:00-midnight also for $14 at the
door. However, if your main interest is English dancing, we don't want you
to have to pay for both just to dance at our English sessions, one of which
is at the end of the afternoon, just before dinner, and the other from
7-8:30, just after dinner. So, we are now offering a $12 "English only"
ticket, good for dancing from 4:30-8:30 with a one hour dinner break. If you
are interested in contra dancing as well, and wish to start at 4:30 and stay
for the rest of the evening, the price will be $20.

Note that discounts on all of our admission prices are available for youth
or others with limited income.

Finally, the Phylla Mae Fall Fest happens because of the work of lots of
devoted volunteers. We'd love it if you'd like to help out. Please feel free
to reply to this email if you can:

- Put up an out-of-town dancer in your house
- Do some volunteer work at the weekend (sweeping, filling water cooler,
etc.)
- Bring some baked goods or other refreshments.
